Each level builds upon the previous, guiding you from fundamentals to advanced classical guitar proficiency. Choose your exam pieces from the official Guitar Syllabus 2020 (PDF).

Debut, Preparatory, and Grades 1–4

Includes exam entry and a digital certificate.

How It Works

5 Steps to Get Certified

Record Your Video

Perform all pieces in one continuous take with no edits. Minimum 720p HD. Face and both hands must be visible. Introduce your name, grade, and pieces.

Upload to YouTube

Name your file "yourname_Level" and upload it to YouTube as an unlisted video.

Submit Application

Complete the exam entry application form with your video URL and personal details.

Complete Payment

Receive an invoice within 24 hours. Debit and credit card payments accepted online.

Receive Results

Your performance is reviewed within 1 week. Results and a signed certificate are emailed to you.

Performances are evaluated on technique, musicality, accuracy, and presentation.

Exam Regulations

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates of any age are eligible to take the exams. No prior music theory qualification is required. However, basic knowledge from the Classical Guitar Method book is expected. Exam pieces must be chosen from the official Guitar Syllabus 2020 (PDF).

Retaking a Failed Exam

A failed exam can be repeated once within 1 year of the original attempt. Full re-payment of the exam fee is required for the retake.

Entry Transfers

Exam entries cannot be transferred to another candidate. Each registration is personal and non-transferable.

Video Recording Rules

All pieces must be performed in one continuous recording with no edits or splicing. Any form of video editing will result in immediate disqualification.

Payment Policy

The exam fee covers the exam entry and a digital certificate. Online payment via debit or credit card is accepted. An invoice is sent within 24 hours of submitting your application.

Accredited by NDU School of Music

All certification exams are officially accredited by NDU School of Music. Certificates are jointly signed by Wissam Abboud and the NDU School of Music director.
