This Privacy Policy explains how Wissam Abboud (“I”, “me”, or “my”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit wissamabboud.com, contact me, request lessons, use certificate services, create an account, or make a purchase.
Information I collect
- Information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, country, lesson interests and availability, playing experience, messages, order and account details, and information submitted through contact, lesson, examination, certificate, or other forms.
- Transaction information: products purchased, billing and shipping details, payment status, refunds, and related order records. Payment details are processed by the selected payment provider; I do not receive or store your complete card number.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referring URLs, approximate location, cookie identifiers, server logs, and security events.
How I use information
I use personal information to respond to inquiries, arrange and deliver lessons or services, process orders and payments, provide downloads or account access, verify certificates, send transactional email, prevent fraud and abuse, secure and maintain the website, comply with legal and accounting obligations, and—where enabled and permitted—understand website use and improve content and performance.
Forms and email
Forms may be provided through Elementor Pro or Formidable Forms. Submissions may be stored in WordPress and sent by email using WP Mail SMTP and Brevo. Form data is used to answer your request and provide the requested service. Please do not submit sensitive personal information through a general message field.
Store, accounts, and payments
The store uses WooCommerce. If you create an account or place an order, WooCommerce stores the information needed to manage that account, order, download, refund, and customer support. Payments may be processed by WooPayments or PayPal. Those providers receive information required to process the transaction and apply their own privacy policies. Your bank or card issuer may also process the transaction.
Cookies, analytics, and embedded content
The website uses essential cookies for functions such as security, account sessions, shopping carts, checkout, and form operation. If Google Tag Manager, Google Site Kit, Google Analytics, or related measurement services are configured, they may use cookies or similar technologies to collect usage information. Optional measurement technologies should only be activated in accordance with the consent choices presented to you where consent is required.
Pages may include content from third parties such as YouTube. Embedded content can behave as if you visited the third-party website and may collect data or set cookies when loaded or played. Where available, the site uses privacy-enhanced or click-to-load embeds to reduce data transfer before interaction.
Service providers and disclosures
I may share information only as needed with providers that host, secure, optimize, analyze, email, operate, or process payments for the website, including WordPress/Elementor hosting services, Cloudflare, Brevo, Google services, YouTube, WooCommerce, WooPayments, and PayPal. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or security, or as part of a business transfer. I do not sell personal information.
Security and international processing
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, including access controls, security monitoring, anti-spam tools, software updates, and encrypted connections. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Some service providers may process or store information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.
Retention
Information is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above. Inquiry and lesson records are retained as needed for follow-up and service history; order, payment, tax, and accounting records may be retained for legally required periods; account information is retained while the account is active; security logs and analytics data are retained according to operational needs and provider settings. Information may be deleted, anonymized, or securely archived when no longer required.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access or correct your personal information, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, or request deletion where the information is no longer required and no legal exception applies. You may also adjust browser cookie controls and any consent controls offered on the site. Withdrawing consent may limit the ability to provide a requested service.
Children
Lessons may be requested for minors. A parent or legal guardian should submit or approve personal information for a child where appropriate. The website is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate involvement from a parent or guardian.
